Introducing the Fischer Probe FA100
The right choice for corrosion-resistant pipeline coatings up to 100mm thick

- What is it?
Perpendicular contacting probe designed for non-destructive thickness measurement of thick protective coatings on steel or aluminium substrates
- How does it work? Eddy current method
- To ISO specification? ISO 2360
- Measuring Range? 0 – 100 mm
- What is the USP?
Special eddy current design provides deep penetration into thick coatings up to 100mm, and is suitable for steel or aluminium substrates
- Typical measuring applications
Protective coatings on steel pipelines, and smoothing coatings on welded aluminium ship hulls
- What are the main markets?
Oil and gas pipelines and superyacht construction

Suitable instrument types from Helmut Fischer GmbH DUALSCOPE® FMP100
The FA100 contacting (tactile) probe utilises the Eddy current method (ISO 2360), and can be paired with a range of Fischer portable instruments to provide accurate non-destructive thickness measurement of non-conductive coatings on steel or aluminium. The probe is relatively insensitive to substrate type and curvature.
